For Barry Millson, wealth management is a team effort. As a financial coach, he helps individuals and business owners build and maintain long-term financial independence, providing the clarity and peace of mind needed to make well-informed decisions.
Barry began his career in the financial services industry in 1976. Recognizing the need for a more comprehensive approach to client wealth, he expanded his practice into independent financial planning in 1983. In 1988, he partnered with tax and investment specialist Robert Walker to co-found Millson/Walker Financial Group, Ltd. Under his leadership as President, the firm has grown into a full-service practice offering integrated financial planning, portfolio management, tax planning, insurance analysis, and estate planning.
With more than five decades of professional experience, Barry takes a holistic approach to wealth management. He focuses not only on financial milestones but also on helping clients navigate broader life goals, including funding higher education, planning for retirement, charitable giving, and preserving family legacy values.
Deeply committed to professional excellence, Barry holds several of the industry’s most respected credentials, including Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®), and Chartered Advisor for Senior Living (CASL®). He attended St. Xavier High School in Cincinnati, Ohio, and Thomas More College in Crestview Hills, Kentucky.
An active leader in his community, Barry has served as President and Treasurer of the Oakbrook Swim and Tennis Club, Treasurer of the Randall K. Cooper High School Athletic Boosters, and currently serves as President of the Houston Office Condominium Council.
Outside the office, Barry enjoys playing golf, grilling, attending local athletic events, and spending time with his wife, Melanie, their three children, and three grandchildren.
